Centauri Optine Battlecruiser

Optine Battlecruisers led the Centauri assault fleets into battle against the Orieni. They were not as heavily armored as the Centaurum battleships, but their speed and firepower made them valuable additions to the fleet. After the war, the Optines saw several generations of upgrades and served for centuries as the center piece units in several house fleets.

The Optine battlecruiser is one of my favorite Centauri designs from the Wars of the Centauri Republic supplement. The ship silhouette is evocative, while not being wholly derivative of other ships. I chose to make it look like something of an ancestor of the Primus, but integrating many design elements from the Balvarin carrier to help tie those two ship lineages together.
